Step #2: Look at the ways you can reach your goal
People often have this assumption that they will reach their business goals by simply moving forward and working hard. Yet, large goals are accomplished by taking smaller, incremental steps. However, before you can take the steps, you need to know what steps lead you to your goal. It helps to write down your top two or three goals, then take one at a time, and determine what actions you could take to reach that goal.
Step #3: Create a plan
Now it’s time to map out your strategy. Without your plan, you may get lost or sidetracked. A plan is helpful to fall back on when you’re not sure which direction to take next.
For example, if a new idea presents itself to you and you’re not sure whether to go that way or not, you can consult your plan and determine if it aligns with your overall objectives. This may mean plotting out each step and giving yourself a date or time frame to achieve it. You determine how detailed you want your plan to be.
