Business Advice to Boost Your Growth

If your business has reached a plateau in revenue, it’s easy to get discouraged. Don’t get discouraged!  Get back to the basics that got your revenue growing in the first place. Below are some easy ways to get your business over the hump.

  • Revamp your website. Make sure the SEO (search engine optimization) is optimized. Add a bit of color. Get creative.
  • Take an online course. Improve or build upon a skill that’s vital to you as a business owner. Then, afterward, immediately apply this new knowledge to an area of your business. It just might spark a rise in sales.
  • Get input from staff. Check their morale. Are they happy? If not, why? Also, inquire as to what they think might make your business grow. Advice from front line workers is always the best.
  • Contact old clients. Send an e-card or postcard. Let them know you are thinking about them. Also, offer up a discount if they visit and bring in the e-card or postcard as proof.
  • Revisit your brand. You should have one by now. Make sure your brand is an accurate representation of you and your business. If not, adjust. This process could involve discontinuing a product or service.
  • Order new business cards. Don’t listen to the hype. Business cards are still an effective marketing tool and they’re easier to carry than a laptop.
  • Find a mentor. Select someone in your line of business who is both successful and personable.  Then, set up a meet and greet so you can receive guidance.

Remember, running a business successfully does not need to be complicated.  Keep it simple!
